Natural resources formed long ago must be conserved today! In the past huge depositis of rock sediment build up one leyer of sedimentary rock on top of another. The study of earth history has helped us to understand that fossil fuels take a very long time to form. If we use up what now exists, it will take millions of years for new fossil fuels to form.
